VB6 trying to configure Microsoft Visual Studio Community

Now when I start VB6 I get a message that Windows is configuring Microsoft Visual Studio Community, after a while a second message appears showing time remaining. Eventually the message closes only to start all over again in an endless loop.

The only thing that’s changed that I can think of is Windows 10 did an update.
